Malcolm Carter II is the lead pastor here at Temple Baptist Church. He was born and raised in Fort Pierce, Florida, where he gave his life to Christ at a young age and surrendered the call to preach at 17 years old. After graduating from Victory Baptist Bible College, he began pastoring a church in South Carolina. In 1999, Malcolm received a call inviting him to be a fill-in for a church in Cullman, Alabama. He was asked to stay full-time and has been at Temple ever since. He also serves on the board of directors for the Timothy Initiative. Pastor Malcolm travels all over the country teaching Christians how to share their story and make disciples through DMD (disciples making disciples).
Pastor Malcolm and his wife, Tammy, have been married for almost 30 years. They have four daughters: Jordan (Austin) Whisnant, Rebecca (Shawn) Dehart, Brandie (Clay) Morrison, and Mackenzie Carter. They have three grandchildren: Carter, Peter, and Emory.
When he isn’t preaching or studying, Pastor Malcolm can usually be found in the woods with his coonhounds or out on the golf course.
"My heart for God and love for the ministry are my main motivations in life. I have witnessed God move in miraculous ways over the past 24 years as we have seen lives changed and people come to Christ.” - Pastor Malcom Carter II
