life groups

One way we define success at Temple Baptist Church is by how effectively our ministries move people from our large worship services into our Life Groups.

At Temple, a life group is the best place for sustained life change to occur. Each group may be a little different, but the ultimate goal is to provide an environment where prayer and care exist. We were not meant to live life alone.

Practically speaking, there will never be a way for the staff to personally minister to everyone who attends our church. That's why we place such a high premium on group life. It's how we minister effectively at Temple.

What is a Life Group?

A life group is typically made up of eight to fourteen people who meet regularly during the week to share about their lives and support one another. Each group has a leader. Groups meet in a number of different locations around Cullman County, including coffee shops, restaurants, the church and work places, but typically they meet in homes. Most groups meet weekly during evening hours and some meet in the morning or afternoon. Our goal is to accommodate the different needs of those in our church by offering a variety of options.

What do Life Groups do?

This can vary from group to group, but the main focus of every group is to provide prayer and care for the group members. Some groups choose to eat before or after their meeting, some don't. All groups consist of the following elements: praise, message discussions, and prayer.

When Do They Meet?

Life Groups meet at all different times during the week. You get to choose the best and most convenient time for you and your family. Groups meet every night of the week, even on Saturdays & Sundays.
